Material Handler / Warehouse Associate

Location: Tucson, AZ 85755 Pay rate: $18.00 - $18.95/hour Work Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Onsite; optional OT up to 8 hours/week depending on business needs)

Overview

Ventana Medical Systems (a member of the Roche Group) is seeking a Material Handler for a long-term contract role (11/02/2026 to 12/31/2027) based onsite at their Oro Valley/Tucson campus. This position is responsible for managing the movement and storage of raw materials, maintaining precise inventory tracking, safely operating material handling equipment, and delivering necessary components to production teams to support diagnostic instrument and reagent manufacturing.

Job Specifications

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–5 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory control.

Top Required & Preferred Skills:

• Material Handling & Equipment: Experience operating basic material handling tools; valid forklift certification is strongly preferred.
• Inventory Management: Knowledge of inventory tracking, recordkeeping, and standard supply chain best practices.
• Production Support: Ability to assist in shipping/receiving logistics and deliver materials to manufacturing lines on schedule.
• Communication & Problem Solving: Strong verbal/written communication skills and problem-solving abilities to coordinate with production teams.

Primary Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Manage the physical movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods across the warehouse and production floor.
• Maintain accurate inventory tracking and recordkeeping within company systems.
• Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Stage and deliver required manufacturing materials directly to production teams.
• Assist in incoming shipping and receiving logistics and quality checks.
