The primary functions of this position are to unload and receive incoming materials, as well as packaging and shipping product to our customers.For those who have the necessary skills and experience, this opportunity is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.Job DutiesResponsibilities Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.Reads and understands packing, marking and shipping instructions.Use of shipping systems and customer portals to processing shipments.Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.Assists in preparing bills of lading and other required forms.Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping.Responsible for general cleanliness of shipping and assembly area, including trash disposal.Assists in arranging carrier for shipments.Also assists in preparing overseas/international shipments.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Experience Requirements2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or related field.Valid driver's license is a must.Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of shipping/receiving software and use of online portals.Basic math skills requiredAbility to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance.Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.Strong organization skills, self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be flexible with overtime and weekends, as necessary.Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this positionPreferred QualificationsForklift experience is preferredExperience in government packaging regulations a plus.Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment.Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset.Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Shipping Associate.Physical CapabilitiesMust be able to bend and lift 40 lbs.Physical requirements vary by assignment and will be discussed during the hiring process.Candidates should be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be able to bend and lift up to 40lbsBenefitsCompetitive Weekly PayComprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Life Insurance and Disability Insurance for added peace of mind.Optional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the future.Opportunities for Growth through a variety of assignments with leading employers.Marvin's Take?
