Sterilization TechnicianThe Sterilization Technician is a key part of the ultimate patient experience. The Sterilization Technician is responsible for sterilizing all clinical equipment throughout the workday and maintaining a clean and orderly workflow.Responsibilities:Properly sterilize all dental instruments and equipment in accordance with departmental standardsPerform all opening of the front, closing, and maintenance procedures as well as other duties as delegated by the Clinical CoordinatorRestock and maintain an inventory of dental supplies and instruments to assure a constant level is always availableCommunicate to the Clinical Coordinator, any supplies that need replenishing or replacementMaintain order and cleanliness in the dental lab and in the sterilization areaMaintain proper pre-set trays and ensure they are ready for anticipated procedures and ready all necessary materials and instruments needed for treatmentAssist clinical staff in optimizing patient flow. This will include restocking technician stations during clinic hours if needed, seating patients, "floating," and supporting other dental team members with patient carePrepare operatory for patient reception and assure it is as aseptic as possible for patient welfareAssist technicians with seating patients when necessaryDemonstrate understanding and apply working knowledge of safety policies and ensure safe member practicesSafely perform all duties; follow required protective protocols to ensure personal safety as well as the safety of othersWear long sleeve shirts with scrubsWear closed-toe shoesMust maintain compliance with ergonomic safety standards; be mindful of posture and regularly practice ergonomic stretchesWork well under pressure, meet multiple and often complete deadlinesAssist on non-patient days with the cleaning of the clinic and sterilization areaEnsure deband baskets are kept in good supply and ensure there is a sufficient amount for the upcoming weekAt all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, subordinates, colleagues, clients, and the communityOther duties as assigned by the Doctors or Clinic CoordinatorWhat does a successful Sterilization Technician look like?Energetic and outgoingService-orientedWilling to learn, adapt and cooperateConfident and proactiveEncouraging and inspiring those around themQuick to helpConsistent and reliableHigh personal accountabilityEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
