The University of Arizona seeks an Associate General Counsel to provide legal counsel on transactional matters within assigned areas of responsibility. The role involves advising decision-makers on legal risks and obligations arising from duties as employees or board members. Areas of emphasis may include general transactional matters such as reviewing and drafting contracts, risk assessment, public procurement and contract compliance, information technology security, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, and intellectual property (including trademarks, copyright, and licensing). The position may assist current attorneys in the office in areas such as real estate, construction, major gifts, governance and affiliated entities, and finance matters. The successful candidate will provide legal advice with discretion, professionalism, and in compliance with the highest ethical standards applicable to attorneys serving public institutions.
