divh2Security Officer/h2pResponsible for the protection and safety of all CDS property assets, guests, and team members./ppDuties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):/pulliPatrols assigned areas actively and continuously to provide overall asset protection of Gaming Enterprise property and guest/team member safety./liliProvides greeting services at guest entry points and inspects packages as people enter and leave the building, as appropriate./liliChecks identification of all guests who appear to be under the legal age to either gamble or consume alcoholic beverages./liliPerforms crowd control for events and assists with directing traffic and parking./liliConducts interviews with witnesses or victims and generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents such as theft, injury, or property damage./liliOperates a two-way portable radio to coordinate and dispatch information to all other radio users./liliEscorts people and/or property when necessary to ensure safe transport of Gaming Enterprise monies, gaming assets, and team members./liliIdentifies potential safety hazards and reports them to appropriate individuals for proper resolution./liliInteracts with guests and team members in a positive and professional manner at all times./liliOperates company vehicles to conduct business when directed to do so./liliParticipates in mandatory security-related training such as learning how to administer first aid and emergency response procedures as well as other programs required of Gaming Enterprise employees./liliMaintains a working knowledge of the Gaming Enterprise facilities as well as special events on property in order to advise guests and fellow team members./liliMaintains a working knowledge of emergency action procedures to efficiently handle situations such as fires, evacuations, and robbery attempts./liliFacilitates the flow of information and keeps abreast of changes by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings./liliProvides courteous service and is cordial to all team members and guests./liliPerforms other job-related duties as assigned./li/ulpEssential functions of the position:/pulliMust be able to lift, carry, and transport materials and/or equipment on a frequent basis up to 50 pounds./liliMust be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods of time./liliMust be able to reach, pull, kneel, squat, twist, and bend for duties./liliSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus./liliMust be able to travel to other CDS properties, or any other events necessary for this specific role./liliMust be able to read, write, and effectively communicate with all guests and team members in a positive and professional manner./liliMust be able to follow both verbal and written directions./liliMust have computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software./liliMust be able to work in environments with high noise levels, flashing lights, smoking areas, and large crowds./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/pulliKnowledge of basic security procedures./liliKnowledge and skill operating a two-way portable radio to coordinate and dispatch information to other radio users./liliKnowledge of all applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing the Gaming Enterprise./liliSkill in identifying suspicious activity or security violations that require intervention and taking action to address such matters./liliSkill in working courteously with the public as well as developing and maintaining good working relationships./liliOrganizational, planning, and time management skills./liliAbility to effectively communicate./liliAbility to write routine reports and correspondence./liliAbility to learn Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures related to effective work performance./liliAbility to exercise independent judgment./liliAbility to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form in a professional manner./liliAbility to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals./liliAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced atmosphere and under pressure./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED./liliMust be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed./liliMust be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening in accordance with company policy./liliMust have employment eligibility in the U.S./liliMust be able to obtain a valid gaming license/background check./li/ulpPreferred Requirements:/pulliFour (4) months job related security, law enforcement, or military experience./liliBilingual (English and Spanish)./liliA valid drivers license/li/ulpThe Gaming Enterprise Division and the Tribal Enterprise Division (collectively Casino Del Sol) are divisions of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. As a result, preferential hiring will go in this order to: (1) enrolled members of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe who meet the positions minimum qualifications; (2) Spouses and biological and adopted children of enrolled Pascua Yaqui Tribal members who meet the positions minimum qualifications; (3) Enrolled member of other Federal recognized Tribes who meet the positions minimum qualifications; and (4) all others who meet the positions minimum qualifications./p/div
