The Pharmacy Intern will assist licensed pharmacists in various aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, patient care, and inventory management. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, enhancing the intern's understanding of hospital pharmacy practice and contributing to improved patient outcomes. Essential Functions. Assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications according to prescriptions and established protocols. Participates in medication reconciliation and assist in managing medication therapy for patients as required. Supports the maintenance of accurate inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking medications. Collaborates with healthcare teams to gather medication histories and provide patient education under the supervision of a pharmacist.
