Chief Inspector – Aviation (Relocation to Arizona)

The Fordy Group's client is seeking an experienced Chief Inspector to lead inspection and quality operations within a FAA Part 145 (Engine shop & Airframe) repair station environment. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and safety across all maintenance and inspection activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all inspection and quality control functions in compliance with FAA Part 145 and approved manuals
  • Approve or reject articles for return to service, ensuring airworthiness standards are met
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, calibration programs, and documentation systems
  • Ensure independence and integrity of inspection processes
  • Manage, mentor, and develop inspection personnel, including training and certifications
  • Support audits (FAA, regulatory, and customer) and drive corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and applicable international standards

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of aviation maintenance/inspection experience
  • FAA A&P License (required)
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (Parts 43, 65, 145)
  • Leadership experience within a Part 145 repair station preferred
  • Strong modular engine experience, e.g. CFM56 and airframe inspection and engine maintenance experience.
