Job TitleSenior Environmental Permitting Specialist/Project ManagerJob DescriptionSupport the growing energy practice with a focus on permitting and compliance with Arizona and New Mexico state regulations and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This hybrid role can be based in Phoenix or Tucson, Arizona offices.ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing our portfolio of clients with multiple projects.Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.Lead and participate in key pursuits and wins for the team, office and region.Consistently deliver planned profit margins.Consistently complete projects without write‑downs or multiplier erosion.Typically manage projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).Manage complex clients and projects.Support and mentor team members with multiple projects or program assignments.Travel for agency/client meetings as well as field work kick‑off and auditing as required.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, environmental planning, natural/biological resource management or related field.8 years of relevant experience managing permitting and environmental impact analysis documents and technical studies for high‑voltage electric transmission lines, renewables and linear infrastructure.Valid U.S. driver's license.U.S. citizenship.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a relevant field.12+ years of experience managing permitting and environmental impact analysis documents for high‑voltage transmission lines, renewables and linear infrastructure.Knowledge of Arizona state requirements and related experience with transportation, renewables, and power/transmission projects.Experience with NEPA compliance, Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance, and Clean Water Act (CWA) permitting.Knowledge of Arizona Corporation Commission's (ACC) Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) requirements.Experience with expert witness testimony a plus.Strong experience with agencies, utilities and energy companies, transportation entities, and oil and gas companies.Demonstrated leadership in proposal development and successful pursuit of competitive bids.Experience with environmental permitting, NEPA, relevant environmental regulations and processes.Strong client relationship building and leading deliverables, managing projects, interdisciplinary teams, schedule, budget controls, invoicing and workload.Established agency and client relationships to market and win work for the team and region in energy, electric transmission, utility, transportation and other industrial sectors.Experience managing and mentoring staff in a fast‑paced consulting environment.High degree of self‑motivation and ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.CompensationSalary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience, education and location.BenefitsComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, disability, paid time off, leaves of absence, voluntary benefits, flexible work options, well‑being resources, employee assistance program, travel insurance, recognition awards, retirement savings plan, and employee stock purchase plan.EEO StatementAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in your potential and keep all information confidential according to EEO guidelines.Job DetailsReqID: J10148835Business Line: EnvironmentBusiness Group: DCSStrategic Business Unit: WestCareer Area: PlanningWork Location Model: HybridCompensation: USD 120000 - USD 150000 per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
