Under close supervision, assists students with crossing streets safely to and from school for Sunnyside Unified School District. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledges, skills and other characteristics. TASKS:Directs students in accordance with traffic signals; directs oncoming traffic in order to safely escort students; places and removes school crossing signs at designated locations to notify motorists of school crossing; monitors student behavior and environment to maintain safety. Reports any misbehavior of students; reports traffic violations over speed limit; adheres to regulations and guidelines governing school crossings; performs related duties as assigned.
