Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Remote Clinical Director to oversee and support the clinical excellence and operational compliance of both in-office and field-based mobile dental services. This role is responsible for providing remote oversight, quality assurance, case review, clinical consultation, and operational guidance to ensure all care delivered aligns with regulatory standards, evidence-based protocols, and a commitment to superior patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Oversight & Case Review
  • Provide remote review of diagnostic imaging, treatment plans, and clinical notes submitted from mobile units and in-office operations.
  • Perform quality assurance audits and chart reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and treatment appropriateness.
  • Serve as clinical escalation contact for complex or specialty cases requiring additional review or guidance.
  • Protocol Development & Implementation
  • Develop, maintain, and update clinical guidelines, SOPs, and treatment workflows for both field and office settings.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to standardize best practices in mobile dental care delivery.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure clinical compliance with state dental board regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and relevant healthcare laws.
  • Participate in incident reviews, peer evaluations, and root cause analysis for any clinical concerns or adverse events.
  • Clinical Training & Support
  • Provide remote mentoring, training, and coaching for clinical teams (dentists, hygienists, assistants).
  • Lead virtual continuing education sessions, case conferences, and onboarding clinical orientations.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Collaborate with administrative, scheduling, and logistics teams to ensure clinical readiness and quality of care across all mobile events and fixed sites.
  • Liaise with vendors, labs, and third-party providers to ensure clinical support infrastructure is optimized.
Qualifications:
  • DDS/DMD from an accredited institution; active, unrestricted dental license in applicable state(s).
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical practice experience; mobile dentistry experience preferred.
  • Advanced implant training and certification from a recognized institution; fellowship or diplomate status with AAID, ICOI, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Previous leadership or clinical oversight experience required.
  • Strong understanding of digital workflows, remote practice management systems, and teledentistry.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and clinical judgment skills.
  • Comfortable with flexible hours and remote collaboration tools (Zoom, EHRs, cloud systems).
