The role involves working collaboratively as part of a well-rounded Special Education team consisting of a School Psychologist, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), and other Special Education Teachers. The school serves approximately 500 scholars with a classical education approach and maintains strong support from its chartering district.Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction and support to students with varying needs within grades 4-7. The position entails sharing a caseload currently totaling 27 students, with potential for growth based on ongoing evaluations. The teacher will implement academic testing procedures, including the WIAT assessment, and support individualized education plans alongside team members.Key Qualifications and Experience:Certification and experience in Special Education teaching for K-7 grade levelsAbility to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary special education professionalsFamiliarity with academic testing protocols and individualized education planningFlexibility and eagerness to learn and adapt to the school's existing systems and teaching cultureStrong organizational and communication skills to manage a shared caseloadThe contract position starts ASAP and continues through May 29th.
