Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to join a K-7 charter school in Marana, AZ, for the current school year contract. The position starts ASAP and concludes on May 29th, with a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The role involves sharing a caseload currently consisting of 27 students, with the potential for increase as evaluations progress. The grade levels served will likely be between 4th and 7th grades, although flexibility is expected depending on how the caseload is divided between two Special Education Teachers.

This classical charter school supports approximately 500 scholars and has a comprehensive Special Education team, including a School Psychologist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Special Education Teacher. The school utilizes the WIAT for academic testing and fosters a collaborative environment with strong support from the chartering district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with an established Special Education team to provide individualized instruction and support.
• Manage and share a caseload, adapting to changes as necessary.
• Perform academic testing and assessments using WIAT and other tools.
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment.

• Certification in Special Education.
