Senior Accountant (Remote - Northeast U.S.)

About the Role

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting and strengthening the accounting function. This position partners closely with senior finance leadership and is well suited for someone who enjoys improving processes, working through complexity, and contributing to a growing organization. While fully remote, this role requires residency in the Northeast U.S. to support collaboration and limited in-person needs (1-2 times per year).

What You'll Do

• Support senior finance leadership in building and refining accounting processes across multiple entities
  
  
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
  
  
• Prepare schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation for audits, management, and investors
  
  
• Assist with payroll-related initiatives and system improvements
  
  
• Provide guidance and oversight to AP and AR staff to ensure accuracy and consistency (no direct reports)
  
  
• Develop Excel-based tools, reconciliations, and reports to improve efficiency and visibility
  
  
• Contribute to system enhancements and future ERP implementation efforts
  
  
• Tackle ad hoc projects in a fast-paced, evolving finance environment

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
  
  
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or growing organization
  
  
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables
  
  
• Experience working in QuickBooks or similar accounting systems; ERP exposure a plus
  
  
• Comfortable operating in a less-structured, build-as-you-go environment
  
  
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  
• Ability to learn quickly, prioritize effectively, and work independently
