Material Handler - 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.95/hour

About the Role

Peoplelink Staffing is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company to hire a Material Handler. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient material flow throughout the facility. You will be responsible for accurate inventory management, timely delivery of materials to production teams, safe operation of material handling equipment, and supporting shipping and receiving processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Label and store materials in designated locations
• Unload and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies
• Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and docks
• Transport materials within the facility using forklifts and pallet jacks
• Pick and pack materials for production and customer orders
• Maintain accurate inventory records using software or scanners
• Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
• Document orders, transactions, and resolve delivery issues
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Operate machinery and equipment safely and perform routine maintenance
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Coordinate with other departments for timely material delivery
• Communicate shortages or overages to management

• 0-5 years of relevant experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Knowledge of industry best practices
• Forklift certification preferred
• Clean background (no felonies)
