Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a Receiving Associate to become an integral part of our team. You will receive fasteners, tools, raw materials, and other related items from suppliers or service providers. This position will train at our Tucson branch and eventrually be transitioned to our upcoming Marana location.

Responsibilities:

• Process orders as they arrive or as prioritized by supervisors or purchasing.
• Use RF scanners (as applicable) to ensure that accurate quantities and products are received for each order.
• Accurately enter information on purchase orders, vendor packing lists, freight manifests and/or in the computer system.
• Ensure that vendor returns (debit memos) are processed quickly and accurately, and that applicable supervisors review and approve product returns and that inventory is sent to the vendor as prescribed.
• Process freight claims as necessary, indicating freight damage on vendors pack list and freight company's freight manifest - advise supervisors or purchasing of the nature of the freight claim and necessary disposition of product.
• Previous forklift experience required

Stocking, cross-docking and staging:

• Ensure that product received is reviewed in the system to ensure that product is sent to applicable packaging, order pulling, or stocking departments as necessary.
• In Phoenix, ensure that product received for other branches is noted in the system and properly transferred to applicable freight carrier or O/T staging location.

Safety:

• Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner using applicable safety equipment.

Decision/Information Sharing and Communication

• Must enter accurate data on product, quantities, back-orders, etc.
• Seek supervisor or purchasing assistance for products that are shipped incorrectly.
• Work well with other warehouse departments, including order pulling, shipping, and packaging, to ensure productive and efficient workflow in the warehouse.
• Report safety hazards to Supervisors or other Managers immediately

Certification Requirements:

• Employees operating forklifts or cherry-pickers must be trained and certified.

Physical requirements:

• This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy boxes, products, or other items, up to or more than 50 lbs.
• This position will require that the employee stand for virtually their entire shift (8 or more hours)

Shift:

1st M-F, 7am - 4pm
