Summary:AGM's Special Packager is responsible for preparing custom and specialized packaging solutions to ensure products are protected, compliant, and shipment-ready. This role involves building and packing crates and containers for sensitive or high-value items while following detailed work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in industrial or manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of packaging materials, tools, and damage-prevention techniques.The Special Packager is responsible for carrying out the following responsibilities and tasks:* Reads work assignments with minimal supervision and packages all AGM products per AGM's and customers' packaging specifications.* Operates required machinery and makes minor adjustments when needed.* Informs AGM's Production Supervisor of any maintenance or supply needs for the department.* Meets or exceeds pars on a regular basis.* Is responsible for asking the Special Packaging Line Supervisor if there is any problem with using the materials that have been issued.* Completes all paperwork accurately in accordance with AGM's and customers' specifications.* Keeps work area clean; reports or corrects any unsafe condition in a timely manner.* Assists with production work as necessary in the Valves and Desiccator departments.We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:* A High School Diploma or G.E.D.* At least one year of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred; experience in industrial packaging, crating or shipping is preferred but not required* Detail-oriented with the ability to closely follow work instructions, packaging specifications, contract requirements, bills of material (BOMs), and customer specifications* Basic mathematic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages* Strong communication skills* Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion, and to sit and stand for long hours* Must be eligible to work in a regulated manufacturing environment and adhere to strict safety, quality and compliance standardsThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in precision and quality, and wants to grow within a manufacturing environment.
