Internal Marketing Communications Internship

Clayton offers a multitude of different opportunities through our Summer Internship Program. The Clayton Summer Internship Program challenges students to think critically and analytically within their field of study while allowing them direct, hands-on working experience. The Internal Marketing Communications intern will assist the marketing team in major projects for the organization supporting the Company's vision to be recognized as a national housing brand.

Internship Program Details:

• Internships are paid, full-time, hourly positions.
• Internship dates are May 18th August 7th 2025.
• Internships include several professional development workshops and opportunities for networking with other interns across Clayton's various lines of business.
• Interns will facilitate a presentation of their Summer project to Clayton Senior Leadership at the completion of their internship.

What you will do:

• Assist in the development of the company-wide communications projects including but not limited to: Team Member praise and recognition program, Corporate Shared Services Newsletter, Clayton Store.
• Support the day to day tasks of the internal communications team that align with our communications strategy and company vision.

What skills you will learn or develop:

• Strategic communications experience in a corporate setting.
• Writing/Editing Content.
• Creating and executing an internal communications plan.
• Developing creative assets (graphics, video, webpages, etc.).
• Building internal webpages.
• Internal branding strategy.
• Building relationships and working with stakeholders in a corporate setting.

Qualifications:

• Must be a rising senior or recent graduate in Communications, Marketing, Public relations or related field.
• Excellent presentation skills required.
• Some experience in content creation, writing, strategic communications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to learn new technology.
• Graphic design, social media, video filming/editing a plus.
