Overview

Chief Financial Officer: Tucson, Arizona. The CFO is responsible for managing all of the company's financial actions and performance, including financial planning, accounting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. The CFO provides strategic recommendations to the executive management team and manages investor and stakeholder relationships.

Location: Tucson, AZ. 12 month position. Employment type: Full-time.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of employee(s) in the Accounting Department.
• Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
• Lead, support and manage the accounting and payroll team while driving efficiency.
• Oversee and own quarterly and year-end close processes including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and preparation of financial statements.
• Provide the accounting team with guidance on closing entries, financial analysis, debt schedules and payroll-related items.
• Prepare monthly forecasting and cash flow projections.
• Prepare annual budgets.
• Coordinate banking relationships and interact with Senior Executives and the extended leadership team regarding financial matters as needed.
• Assist in the maintenance of appropriate insurance coverage and ensure record keeping meets auditor and agency requirements.
• Serve as the auditor liaison and assist with securing financing for company initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance from an accredited institution.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Strong ERP systems experience.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card / Background and Criminal History Clearance.
