Represents Sonora Hospital at the front desk and over the phone. Ensures all patients are greeted in a prompt and professional manner. Provides effective screening of telephone calls to the main hospital line by accurately identifying the callers' needs, gathering necessary information and responding with an appropriate resource or service. Receives calls from contracted/non-contracted hospitals, obtains basic information for completing inquiry call sheet. Initiates completion of history/demographic form from patient/guardian. Obtains copies of driver's license and insurance card if available for registered patient visitors. Provides clerical support to various departments, as needed. Serves as backup to medical records specialists, copying, filing, sorting documents.
