The Accounting Technician position at the City of Tucson's Business Services Department supports one or more areas by processing invoices and providing exemplary customer service to internal and external customers. This position performs accounting tasks including reconciling, reviewing financial information for accuracy, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and preparing correcting entries.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Financial Specialist. This position does not supervise.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: 6 months post high school. Experience: Two (2) years of directly related experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Over 1 year of full-time experience performing entry level accounting duties within a state or local government. Associate degree in accounting or related field. Experience in Microsoft Office products Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial software.
