Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and related components in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and manufacturer specifications. The technician will also inspect, install, and service smoke detectors, duct and heat detectors, pull stations, horn strobes, strobes, and other initiating and notification devices. We're looking for a technician with strong technical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of Fire Alarm Control Panels and other notification devices for optimal performance, NFPA code compliance, manufacturer standards, and customer safety.
  • Assess system deficiencies and provide customers with clear recommendations for corrective action or necessary upgrades.
  • Respond to service calls, diagnose system issues on-site, and complete repairs efficiently to restore full functionality.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and maintenance records accurately and ensure timely delivery to customers and internal systems.
  • Prepare quotes, estimates, and service recommendations based on inspection findings and customer needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with industry standards, manufacturer updates, and safety practices.
  • Deliver results by meeting company production and performance goals through efficient service, technical accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel throughout southeastern Arizona to service assigned route customers while actively cultivating new business opportunities and expanding customer base.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe and working conditions.
  • Adherent to all safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience inspecting and servicing fire control panel systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Fire Lite, Notifire, Edwards and Simplex Systems to include programming.
  • Electrical, mechanical, and technical background.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including NFPA codes and local regulations.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for data entry, reporting, and communication.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Able to work on a rotating on call status.
License:
  • N.I.C.E.T Level II Fire Alarm Systems or Inspection and Testing preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders frequently throughout the workday.
  • May be required to wear PPE and access confined spaces in accordance with safety protocols.
