Assists the Grocery Manager and the Grocery Third Person in the operation of the Grocery Department. Assists with supervising and training personnel, ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, rotating, stocking and merchandising. Directs and controls the operation of the entire store in the absence of the Store Director, Grocery Manager and Third Person.
Duties and responsibilities include championing company and division customer service programs, handling customer relations, performing ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking, rotating and merchandising duties, ensuring compliance with company sanitation, safety, security and other policies, opening and closing the store, and performing all job duties with accuracy, honesty and integrity.

Physical requirements include exposure to potential hazards, exposure to cold temperatures, working conditions consisting of a temperature-controlled store environment, exposure to varying temperatures while working in the loading and receiving area, occasional exposure to outdoor environment, and safety-sensitive position.
