Strategic Quality Leadership

Quality Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive quality strategy and testing framework that aligns with business objectives and supports continuous integration/deployment practices across all four product lines.

Cross-Functional Influence: Drive quality excellence across 30+ development teams (5-10 members each) through influence, collaboration, and strategic guidance rather than direct authority.

Quality Standards: Establish enterprise-wide quality standards, processes, and best practices that accommodate both legacy and modern technology stacks.

Integration Testing Oversight: Lead the strategy and execution of integration testing across products and feature areas to ensure seamless system interactions.

Quality Management & Measurement

Metrics & KPIs: Define, implement, and monitor key quality metrics including defect density, test coverage, defect resolution time, test effectiveness, and customer-reported defects.

Quality Dashboards: Design and maintain quality dashboards and reporting systems that provide visibility into quality performance across all development teams.

Continuous Improvement: Identify quality improvement opportunities through data analysis and implement systematic approaches to enhance software quality.

Root Cause Analysis: Drive comprehensive root cause analysis of quality issues and establish preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Direct Team Management: Lead a small, high-impact team of 3-5 integration testers and quality specialists.

SDET Influence: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) embedded within development teams.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Security, DevOps/Platform, and Customer Support teams to ensure quality integration across all software delivery processes.

Quality Culture: Foster a quality-first mindset across the engineering organization through training, coaching, and collaborative initiatives.

Process Innovation & Technology

Test Automation Strategy: Drive test automation initiatives and establish frameworks that support hundreds of daily releases.

Quality Tools & Processes: Evaluate, recommend, and implement quality assurance tools and processes that enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to industry quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to B2B2C SaaS products.

Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, standards, and lessons learned.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field; master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software quality management, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven experience leading quality initiatives in large-scale SaaS or enterprise software organizations
• Strong background in both legacy system quality management and modern DevOps/Agile quality practices

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and quality gates
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices
• Familiarity with various technology stacks and ability to adapt quality strategies accordingly
• Understanding of security testing, performance testing, and other specialized testing domain

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Exceptional leadership and influence skills with ability to drive change through collaboration rather than authority
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making approach
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex quality concepts to executive leadership
• Experience building and mentoring high-performing quality teams
• Proven track record of implementing quality improvements in fast-paced, high-frequency release environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Experience in B2B(2C) SaaS environments with multiple product lines
• Scale Experience: Background managing quality in organizations with 500+ engineers and 30+ development teams
• Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with compliance frameworks relevant to enterprise software

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $125,000 to $180,000 annually. Note that compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 10% target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
