Position Overview
We are actively seeking a skilled Mechanical/Plumbing Project Manager to join our Construction team in Tucson, AZ. This full-time position is responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical construction projects-from pre-construction through closeout-ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role with a respected contractor known for delivering complex commercial and industrial projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day operations and project teams across assigned jobs
  • Oversee contract administration, documentation, and compliance to mitigate risk
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and procurement activities from project kickoff through completion
  • Coordinate with field supervisors and subcontractors to ensure high-performance project execution
  • Lead pre-construction planning, including permitting, scope review, and logistics
  • Manage material and equipment buyout strategies to align with project goals
  • Review, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements
  • Track submittals, change orders, and approvals efficiently
  • Prepare billing schedules and manage project cash flow
  • Forecast project costs, monitor labor productivity, and ensure proper staffing
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • OR 5+ years of experience in mechanical or plumbing construction project management
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, budgets, scheduling, and construction best practices
  • Effective leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
