Senior Litigation Counsel

Description:
- Type: Contract (though it lists full-time salary, so it may be long-term)
- Location: Remote (HQ in San Francisco, CA)
- Salary: $304Kâ$342K base + equity + benefits
- Reporting to: VP & Deputy General Counsel, Litigation & Regulatory Compliance
- Handle a broad array of disputes (pre-litigation through trial/arbitration) including high-impact and novel legal issues.
- Outside Counsel Management:
- Supervise and collaborate with law firms on complex litigation.
- eDiscovery:
- Develop and refine systems for managing and scaling e-discovery efficiently.
- Monitor evolving laws in tech/platform regulation; assess/preempt risks before they escalate.
- Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Work closely with other legal and business teams to advise and support internal initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- JD + bar admission
- 10+ years total (firm + in-house)
- Legal Expertise:
- Deep litigation experience across issues like:
- Platform safety
- Privacy & data
- Consumer protection
- CDA 230, DMCA, IP
- Strong communicator and strategic thinker
- Comfortable operating autonomously and in fast-paced environments
