The Executive Director oversees the department's marketing, communications, and creative team to ensure that marketing efforts are designed and implemented to achieve desired outcomes, in a manner that aligns with university brand standards.The Executive Director oversees the management of divisional events along with overseeing the project management function from concept inception to completion and ensures that efforts are appropriately prioritized and managed to align with the division's objectives.Enrollment Management enrolls and supports students throughout their Wildcat experience. For more information about working at the University of Arizona and relocations services, please click here .Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnrollment Management Marketing and StrategyOversee and lead the creation and execution of the enrollment management marketing efforts and strategy.Provide leadership, development, direction and implementation of marketing campaigns. Campaigns may include but are not limited to digital, print, television, and radio advertising, social media, and direct mailing.Provide marketing expertise to VP, Provost and Deans regarding advertising media or activity/service/program to be advertised.Ensure that all marketing materials are aligned with the University of Arizona brand (and established family brands, where appropriate) in message, tone and visuals and guide the brand development throughout all channels.Utilize project management system to manage and execute projects; track and report project milestones and provide status reports to supervisor along with reporting to leadership how it is supporting the overall strategy.Review and provide reports and updates regarding analytics, performance, trends, and gaps.Lead the strategic vision related to annual marketing plans for enrollment marketing, communication, and events which includes (but is not limited to) the definition and prioritization of key audiences, determination of creative vision and assets, and the messages and tactics that will motivate prospective students to engage with the University of Arizona.Develop and implement new annual initiatives to meet both the needs of internal colleagues and external stakeholders digesting the materials, work developed, and events planned.Provide understanding to recruitment and enrollment management around marketing and communication best practice, resources available, and consultations/training when needed.Manage budget(s) and allocate the resources and make informed decisions for enrollment marketing, communication, and events that supports the strategic and operational direction for these units.Marketing Team ManagementSuccessfully lead, supervise, train, and motivate staff including the Assistant Director, Marketing Specialist, Creative Director, Communications Director, Assistant Director, Events and Project Manager.Create an effective team with an emphasis on professionalism and service excellence.Hire staff, develop onboarding materials, and ensure current staff have access to trainings/tools in their continued development and job understanding along with full knowledge of policies and practices.Ensure appropriate professional development of the team; and work with them to solve problems related to requests and project priorities.Monitor performance of staff members and personnel issues (time-reporting, goal-setting, and performance management) and the effectiveness of activities and programs.Projects and Events Collaboration & ManagementCreate and develop structures around timing and processes to see projects and events through and ensure success.Actively engage in marketing conversations and committees on campus along with those outside Arizona.Ensure successful collaborative efforts with systems and enrollment requests to maximize efficiency and impact.Utilize data from performance, enrollment trends, enrollment team requests, and best practice to form plans and bolster enrollment marketing and events support where possible.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong understanding of enrollment marketing, communication and events in higher education.Proven ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and implement strategic goals.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.Minimum of 9 years of related work experience, including 5 years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Experience leading a team, project, program, or function.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree.Higher education experience.Enrollment experience in marketing, communication and events.FLSA Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Number of Hours Worked per Week 40.00 Job FTE 1.00 Work Calendar Fiscal Job Category Communication and Marketing Benefits Eligible Yes - Full Benefits Rate of Pay DOE Compensation Type salary at 1.0 full-time equivalency (FTE) Grade 13 Compensation Guidance The Rate of Pay Field represents the University of Arizona's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
