Responsibilities

1. Acknowledgments and proofs (not for documents affecting real property).
2. Take oaths and affirmations, affidavits, and perform depositions.
3. Certify copies of powers of attorney and notarial record book entries (requested by the Secretary of State or by a court).

Qualifications and Skills

• MUST be a U.S. citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Notary Public certification and successful background check.
• Experience in notarizing loan documents.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well with others and strong reading comprehension skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling notarizations; exhibit empathy when working with sensitive documents and clients.

Compensation

$125.00 - $200.00 per loan signing appointment.
