Position Highlights
The Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona is accepting applications for an Adjunct Lecturer. The Department is seeking a candidate with a demonstrated record of teaching excellence. The successful candidate will teach General Education courses for a diverse undergraduate student population and will be required to teach face-to-face courses. This position may vary from 10 - 20 hours per week (.25 to .50 FTE) for the Fall and/or Spring semesters of the 2024-2025 academic year. Hiring will depend on availability of funding, course enrollments, and the needs of the department. This position will teach one course beginning August 19, 2024, and is expected to last two semesters.
Your teaching load may make you become eligible for benefits if you work a .50FTE or greater for 90 days or longer. As courses and loads are determined, we will notify employees should they gain benefits eligibility status.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
