Job Description:

• The Solar/Battery Construction Manager is responsiblefor overseeing the on-site construction of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• The Construction Manager will coordinate between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution from groundbreaking to commissioning.

• Lead all on-site construction activities for solar and battery storage projects from pre-construction through final commissioning.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestone deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Coordinate site mobilization and demobilization; manage logistics for equipment and materials.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Supervise site crews and subcontractors, ensuring workmanship meets standards and specifications.
• Conduct daily site meetings and progress updates with stakeholders and contractors.
• Monitor construction costs, address change orders, and mitigate potential schedule delays.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.
• Inspect work for quality assurance and verify adherence to construction plans and electrical codes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, and incident reports.
• Assist with permitting processes and utility interconnection requirements.

• Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in solar PV and/or battery storage projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC, local building codes, and renewable energy system design.
• Proven experience with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training required.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Valid driver s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
