Base pay will be determined by the applicant's skills and experience. The role is also eligible for monthly and quarterly commission opportunities. Temporary associates are not benefits-eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and/or improve occupancy levels and revenue in accordance with marketing and business plans, including completing sales calls and closing sales. Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and professional referral sources. Plan, coordinate, and implement monthly prospect and referral activities and events. Partner with Regional Sales management to develop and execute marketing plans and achieve occupancy goals. Supervise at least two FTE Marketing Coordinators and/or Sales Counselors to ensure community marketing and business plan results.
  2. Close sales by assisting prospective residents, their families, and advisors in decision-making, understanding their needs, and educating them about services. Respond promptly to inquiries from referral sources, prospective residents, and families. Provide community and company information to inquirers.
  3. Utilize sales processes, systems, and forms for external and internal sales activities to track information, compile data, and achieve community occupancy goals.
  4. Conduct outside Business Development sales calls to meet or exceed weekly lead generation goals, targeting legal and financial professionals, senior organizations, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, clergy, insurance providers, and community contacts.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources through regular contact and presentations about community services, market advantages, and availability.
  6. Plan and implement monthly prospect and referral activities as per marketing plans, and follow up on leads generated from these events.
  7. Collaborate with Regional Sales management to develop marketing content and strategies, including advertising materials, in accordance with procedures.
  8. Monitor conversion ratios of calls to referrals, leads, and tours, analyzing data for weekly and monthly reporting. Provide performance insights to management.
  9. Maintain knowledge of lead management systems to maximize sales effectiveness.
  10. Supervise at least two FTEs to achieve marketing and business plan results.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum of five years sales experience, preferably in retirement, medical, or pharmaceutical sales, with a proven record of generating and closing qualified leads.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Requirements: Valid driver's license required for frequent travel.

Management/Decision-Making: Use existing guidelines and judgment to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent and experience.

Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including strategies, techniques, and systems. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations, state regulations affecting service delivery, and proficiency with personal computers and software (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to manage time effectively, build trust, assess customer needs, and communicate clearly. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
