The Electrical Services in The University Facility Services Department is looking for an Trades Helper to help with set up in aspects of Audio/Visual to join our team. The Electrical Shop in UFS is an award winning team that provides a wide variety of Electrical Services to the University of Arizona campus. We are interested in applicants who are passionate about the electrical trade and who are interested in performing a variety of tasks with precision and safety.

This position requires overtime, weekend and holiday work. This position also requires the successful candidate to work on call or standby shifts as part of a rotation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in setting up and installing AV equipment such as projectors, screens, sound systems, and displays.

Wires, distribution power and extension cords) during installations.

Handle the maintenance, storage, and inventory of tools and equipment.

Support AV technicians with system testing and troubleshooting to ensure functionality.

Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe.

Follow safety protocols and comply with worksite regulations.

Standby support for AV and power events.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.

* Ability to lift, move, or transport 50lbs.

* Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

* Use and understanding of AV systems, equipment, and components.

* Prior experience working in a University or College setting or AV road (road shows)set up.

* Vocational or training in Audio Visual.
