Overview

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing product shipments. Duties include unloading delivery trucks and checking incoming shipments against product invoices, organizing and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests and notifying management personnel when they don't have enough of a particular product to fulfill orders. Follow set ISO procedures. Work well with internal and external customers to complete the job efficiently and safely.

Follow proper procedures for packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Pack, weigh, address and seal boxes containing Opto-mechanical assemblies, optical components, sub-assemblies, and other products as needed for national and international shipments.
• Prioritize and work effectively at a variety of demanding tasks and schedules.
• Label every product and place them accordingly.
• Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process. Coordinate packaging with the planners and or engineers.
• Handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
• Assist in managing inventory and communicate supply requirements
• Keep a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
• Ability to recognize when improvements can be made and suggest improvements.
• Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
• Maintain inventory organization.
• Perform or Assist kitting process to supply production orders.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of shipping, receiving, and material handling experience required.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Certification in forklift operation preferred
• Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery

Physical Requirements:

• Adequate manual dexterity to perform essential functions; ability to use some physical efforts in the handling of heavy materials, boxes or equipment (most tasks require no more than 50 lbs. lifting); position requires standing; ability to work in manufacturing environment.
