Summary: The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning the tools (china, utensils, pots, pans, glassware, etc.) that are required to keep the restaurant in operation. They also help prep food like peeling potatoes. They gather the trash and flatten boxes and transport them to the dumpsters. They help maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen that are in line with the Health Department. They will assist in storing food and non-food items in their proper areas. They maintain that the dish machine is in working order and that the chemicals are in line with the Health Department.
Responsibilities:
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Clean tableware.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Remove trash.
• Sweep or scrub floors.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
• Stock supplies, such as plates, utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, or refrigerators.
• Store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas.
• Stock serving stations or dining areas with food or supplies.
• Prepare and package individual place settings.
