Job Designation
The Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.
Job Core Responsibilities
•Ability to use electric soldering equipment to the J-STD standard.
•Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, Apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding
•Follow written and verbal instructions
•Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision
•Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
•Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing
•Maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 6S standards
•Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record
•Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
•Additional job duties and tasks as needed
•Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed
•Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / Supervisor
Job Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or completed OJT training for at least 5 products.
Skills:
•Good mechanical aptitude
•Able to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
•Capable of performing basic mathematics
•Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedure
•Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
•Able to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
•Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
•Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities.
•Lift and Carry up to 30 lbs.
•Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun.
•Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.
•Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
•Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf.
•Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.
•Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.
•Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces.
